The Fillebrown House

Visit the 1879 lakeside cottage at the corner of Lake and Morehead Avenues.

The Fillebrown family occupied the house for most of its years as a residence and donated the house with its contents to the Historical Society in 1978. Since that time the house has been used for tours and as the site of many community and social events.

Tours:
Costumed guides describe life at the cottage, which served as a family home from its construction until the 1970s when it became the property of the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society.
Regular guided tours are offered each Sunday during the season mid-June through late August at 1:15, 2:15 and 3:15 and last approximately one hour.
Admission is $5.00 per adult and $3.00 per child*, members are free.
Group tours are available throughout the year for $5.00 per person ($35.00 minimum applies)* and may be scheduled by calling 651-407-5327.

Rentals:
The Fillebrown House is available for rental and is the perfect site for small events and receptions. Groups of 21-50 can be accommodated during moderate weather and smaller groups during the late fall and winter months. For a current rate list and a showing, please call Holly at 651-426-1110 or Mary at 651-426-4623.

*Fees are subject to change without notice.

The Depot Museum

Visit White Bear Lake’s 1935 Northern Pacific Depot in Downtown White Bear at the intersection of 4th Street and Highway 61.

At the intersection of Highway 61 and 4th Street, the historic Northern
Pacific Depot is still at the heart of a bustling business district. Just
south of the depot, a 1914 Northern Pacific caboose sits at its rail's end.
Since 1992, the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society has operated a
museum at the Depot. The Depot Museum is the site of seasonal exhibits that
highlight aspects of the area's history, as well as the WBLAHS Resource Library and the Depot Gift Shop.

The Depot Museum is open

Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday - 10am to 1pm

Thursday and Friday - 10am to 4pm
